Alex is the Coordinator of Photonics Programming at
Niagara College Canada
While many of our colleagues are working to “flip” the classroom, Alex is working to “flip” the laboratory. By giving students access to simulation tools, software, and low cost data acquisition technology, the Photonics program at Niagara College is bringing hands-on learning, typically only available onsite in labs, directly into the student’s home. Students are simulating, calculating, building, measuring, troubleshooting, and developing skills from the comfort of home.
